After a busy morning finishing Christmas cards and preparing for the Poetry Party, we were excited to get in to our party clothes ready for the celebrations to begin.
The festivities started as soon as we walked in to the hall. It had been set up and laid out beautifully for us and we all got to pull crackers with our friends.
We ate the most delicious roast turkey lunch that Mrs Johnson, along with her helper Mrs Blackmore had been busy making for us. It was spectacular. Roast turkey, sausages wrapped in bacon, roast potatoes, mash, carrots, broccoli, sprouts, stuffing, cranberry sauce, bread sauce and lashings of gravy. We enjoyed it so much we couldn’t wait for seconds.
We couldn’t wait for pudding. We had the choice of Christmas pudding, chocolate gateau, strawberry gateau or jelly (and we even got to have some seconds).
Once lunch was done and we’d had a play outside. It was time to enjoy some party games. Musical Christmas shapes (a festive version of the classic musical statues), dance competitions, the newspaper game and the hat game to name a few. If you won a game, you got your name on the Winners Board and got a dip in the magic prize bag!
