Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome back to everyone after the Easter break.

Class 1 News

Trip to Tewkesbury Fields Care Home:  On Friday 10th May all Class 1 pupils (including Nursery) will be travelling by minibus (leaving school at around 1.30 pm and returning at approximately 3.00 pm. It is part of our community outreach and we are looking forward to using this opportunity to build new relationships across different ages, enhance communication skills and learn about the life experiences of different generations.  During this visit we will be doing some craft activities and we need some plastic containers such as milk bottles.  If you have any spare please bring them in early next week.  A consent form is enclosed for this trip.

Look at the Book:  Don’t forget you are welcome to these sessions from 2.45 each Friday.

After School Care Club:  Please complete the attached booking form and return it next Tuesday.  From next week After School Care will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only.  We will review this provision on an ongoing basis: if there are not enough pupils pre-booked into After School Care it will not be financially viable for the school to offer it.

Instrumental Tuition:  Because of the TED and Bank Holiday keyboard and violin lessons will start again on Monday 13th May.  Invoices will be sent out shortly.  From September we will once again be offering guitar as an option for Class 2 pupils.  If you would like your child to start guitar lessons or to switch from another instrument please speak to Ms Curnow.

Waterproofs:  It might be May but the weather is still being unpredictable!  Please continue to send your children in to school with waterproof coats to wear at break time.
