Dear Parents and Carers
Menus: These are enclosed for the final two weeks of term. Please look over these with your child and return them on Monday with payment if appropriate. Menus for the start of summer term will be going out next week, to give Year 5 & 6 pupils, who would be on Residential at the start of the final week of term, a chance to return them.
Class 1 News
Story Sacks: Sacks are due in this coming TUESDAY 26th MARCH. Please return them promptly to the area behind the door in the library. Please also remember to complete and return the Story Sack Interaction form to help Mrs Rowe write a Story Sack Award for your child which will be given at Celebrations Assembly.
Class 2 News
Homework: Think about the letter you are writing in English / Literacy. Research some interesting facts about the period (1666) that you can use to inform your writing.
Year 6 Guided Reading: Complete the Reading Comprehension ‘The Yellow Train.’
Class 2 Parents’ Meetings: This will be on Wednesday 3rd April from 10.45 am. Please book an appointment slot on the list at the back door.
Year 3 & 4 Tag Rugby Tournament: This will take place at Hanley Castle High School (on The Glebe) from 4.00 – 6.00 pm on Tuesday 26th March. If your child has been selected for the squad a slip is attached; please sign and return in on Monday. Pupils will need to be transported to the High School in time for a 4.00 pm start and collected at 6.00 pm. They will need a drink and suitable clothing for in between matches. If at all possible, they should have studded football or rugby boots.
Year 3 & 4 Tri Golf Tournament: All pupils in these years will be going to Dyson Perrins High School for this during the school day on Tuesday 2nd April. Please make sure they have their PE kit in school and they will need a packed lunch to take with them due to the timing of the event.
Dance Festival in Malvern Friday 29th March: Please return the trip consent and photo consent forms that were sent out last week as soon as possible. Pupils should wear a black T shirt and black leggings / shorts for this event. Remember that they will be returning to school slightly later than usual – approximately 4.00 pm.
Messy Church: A reminder that this will take place at Eldersfield, not Pendock as advertised in the Parish Magazine.
Public Meetings Regarding M50 Bridge Work: Kier Construction are hosting meetings in the school hall from 3.00 pm to 8.00 pm on Wednesday 27th March and Thursday 28th March. Please come along if you want to find out more about this project and ask questions of their team.
Spring Chicken Run: Thank you to everyone who has supported the Chicken Run so far – we had a great response for the litter pick this morning and plenty of eggs donated this week. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Sunday, whether running, helping or cheering!
