18 January 2019 Newsletter 17

Dear Parents and Carers

It’s been another busy and action-packed week here at Pendock. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.

Class 1 News

Homework: We have created a British Winter Woodland display in Class 1 and have been looking at all the different animals and insects that might live there. Can you research and find out what any of these animals do during the winter. How do they survive? Include some facts about the animal and maybe a picture, too.
Story Sacks: Class 1 sacks are due in this coming TUESDAY 22nd JANUARY. Please return them promptly to the area behind the door in the library.

Class 2 News

Homework: Explore Education City and complete 3 tasks of your choice. Use the green username cards sent home today to log in at www.educationcity.com

Year 6 Guided Reading: Complete the reading comprehension for Wednesday.

Year 5 & 6 Sports Hall Athletics: Thank you to everyone who was able to support with transporting arrangements. We apologise that the event over ran. However, we are pleased to report that Year 5 and 6 represented Pendock excellently throughout the event.

Education City Learning Platform: All children in Key Stage 1 and 2 have been issued with Education City usernames and passwords today. Please do help them to explore and complete activities.

After School Care Club: A reminder to use the Hall door when coming to collect children from After School care Club. Thank you. Due to unforeseen circumstances statements/invoices for the Autumn term will be sent out in the near future – not this week as planned.

Friends’ News: Please find the attached flyer for the social event that has been planned for 8th February 2019. The venue and band are booked and tickets are available from the school office. Please share this exciting news and opportunity for a great evening out with family and friends.

Please also remember that during February Waitrose in Great Malvern are including FOPS in their ‘green token’ scheme. If you buy something in the store you will be given a token to vote for one of three local groups to receive a share of £1000.

Keep an eye out for a new FOPS funded addition within the school grounds next week.
