Dear Parents and Carers

Menus:  These are attached for the first 4 weeks of next term. Please complete and return them to us on 17th December so that we can plan accordingly.  If you prefer you can pay at the beginning of term, but we do need to know numbers.

Class 1 News

Homework:  We have been very excited to have Fizzy our Christmas elf back in Class 1.  Your Homework this week is to create something for Fizzy – it can be anything at all that you think Fizzy would like.  We will present these to Fizzy on Friday 21st December.

Class 2 News

Year 6 Guided Reading:  Read a book or a poem that challenges you with lovely new vocabulary.  Find out the meanings of these new words and present the definitions in your own way.

Homework:  Practise your lines and words to songs for the Christmas productions.

Christmas Performances:  A reminder that you can still put your name down to watch performances of ‘The Best Gift’ at 10.00 am and 6.00 pm on Tuesday 18th December and 6.00 pm on Wednesday 19th December.  We are not charging entrance but there will be a raffle and refreshments etc for sale at the evening performances.  There is a sign up on the sheet at the back door.

Church Service and Party Day:  Parents and carers are very welcome to join us at Pendock Cross Church at 9.30 am on Thursday 20th December for our Christmas Service.  Pupils should come to school dressed in their usual school uniform for the church service but may bring in some party clothes to change into afterwards.

Christingle Collection Candles:  A reminder that these will be collected on the morning of Thursday 20th December so please bring them in to school before then.

Christmas Fayre:  A huge thank you to everyone who supported this event.  A wonderful atmosphere prevailed and the evening was a huge success, raising approximately £2000.

Tempest Photographs:  These have arrived today and been distributed.  If you were expecting some and they have not arrived, please let the school office know.

Pendock Spring Chicken Run:  The 2019 Pendock Spring Chicken Run is now open for entries, so sign up soon at https://www.entrycentral.com/runpendock.   This year, we are delighted to be selling bespoke technical t-shirts  in a range of child and adult sizes.  These have been designed especially for us by Ella Ross, a talented student from Tudor Grange.   All proceeds will go towards the school fundraising efforts.   There is currently an early bird price of £10 for adult t-shirts and £8 for children’s t-shirts.

We are looking for marshals for during the race, helpers to set up on the Friday evening and people who can help out with jobs on the day and in the lead up.  Please speak to Mrs Evans if you are available to help with any of these jobs.  We really could not put on this event without all of the help we receive so really appreciate your support.
