Dear Parents and Carers

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the Leavers’ Service and Presentation Evening yesterday. Both were wonderful school community events with a lovely atmosphere and we really appreciate your support.  We are very proud of our Year 6 pupils and wish them all the best for the next stage of their educational journey.

Class 1 Homework:  Your Summer Holiday challenges are attached.

Class 2 Homework:  Please see the attached sheet which sets out various challenges over the holidays.  These include some activities on Education City and Mathletics; Education City passwords have been handed out recently and Mathletics password cards are attached to this newsletter.  There is also a separate Shipwreck Challenge for you to try!

After School Care Club:  In September we plan to finish After School Care at 5.30 pm.  There will be a different charging structure in place, which we will finalise when we have considered the responses from the survey that was sent out earlier this week.  The Extra Curricular Clubs that we have traditionally offered from 3.15 – 4.15 pm will be free of charge as staff are continuing to volunteer their time to run these for the benefit of the children.

Breakfast Club and After School Care Club Invoices:  These are attached and we would appreciate payment either via the Payments4Schools website or via the green box at the start of next term.  Reminders for school meal payments owing were sent out with last week’s newsletter; please settle these in the same way if you have not already done so.

Parent Internet Safety Session:  All are welcome to this session which will be run by Mr Greenbank at 3.30 pm on Thursday 13th September.

Information from National Online Safety Team:  We have been asked to bring to your attention some recent important updates concerning Snapchat.  This can be accessed at https://nationalonlinesafety.com/resources/platform-guides/snapchat-guide-for-parents/

Busy Bee Pledges:  Please return your pledge leaves directly to Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, Lower Smite Farm, Smite Hill, Hindlip, Worcester WR3 8SZ if you have not already brought them in to school.

2018-19 Calendar:  We enclose our ‘At A Glance’ calendar for next academic year which includes school holidays and TED.  Please be aware of these dates when booking family holidays.
