Dear Parents and Carers
Class 1 Homework: This will be an end of year memories activity and they have the homework in their book bags.
Class 2 Homework: Draw a picture of Macbeth. Class 2 have looked at the first three scenes of Macbeth so please draw a picture and annotate it according to what you believe he looks like based on the story so far.
Midsummer Concert 6.00 pm Wednesday 11th July: Please remember to put your name down on the list by the back door if you have not already done so; it will be pay on the night but we do need an idea of numbers. Friends and extended family are also very welcome as this will be another fantastic community event. Please bring all children back to school for 5.30 pm and, if you are not staying for the event yourself, arrange for them to be collected at 7.00 pm.
Cake Sale: Just before the concert on 11th July there will be a cake sale by The Cat’s Whiskers Cakery in the hall from 5.30 pm. Proceeds will go towards an exciting new art project for the school entrance.
After School Clubs: A reminder that the 3.15 – 4.15 pm activity clubs have now finished for the term. After School Care will continue until 19th July; however, on 19th July itself, After School Care Club will finish at 5.00 pm promptly to allow us time to set up for the Leavers’ Presentation Evening.
Summer Sizzler: Thank you to everyone who organized and attended this event. It was a wonderful afternoon and let’s hope we have another heat wave next year so we can repeat this super event.
Safeguarding: Please see the attached Safety in School newsletter which explains school procedures surrounding safety more fully. This can also be found on our school website.
Year 6 Library Newsletter Contributions: Thank you very much to the pupils who have already returned these. If there are any more still to come in please let Mrs Ashby have them on Monday.
Pendock Has Talent: We will do this on the last afternoon of term. Parents are very welcome to come and watch and can take their children home once the performances have finished.
Leavers’ Events: On Thursday 19th July we will have our church service at 9.30 am at Pendock Cross Church and our Presentation Evening in school from 6.00 pm. These are special occasions where everyone has the opportunity to say goodbye to the Year 6 students so we would like as many people as possible from as many years as possible to attend.
Lost Hat: A wide brimmed summer hat was found outside the school and handed in to the office. Please call in if you think it is yours.
