To celebrate Chinese New Year and The Year of the Dog on Friday 16th February, Class 2 took part in a carousel of activities to better understand the Chinese culture. The morning began with a film explaining the origins of the new year celebrations and the introduction of the 12 animals.

The children were then free to explore the activities. Tasks included: creating shadow puppets, painting Chinese symbols, cracking algebraic codes and making traditional fans. It was a fantastic morning and the entire class created items which they were proud to take home at the end of the day.
