Dear Parents and Carers

Class 1 News

Menus:  These are enclosed for the start of next term.  At this time of year, we quite understand if you prefer to pay at the start of term instead of straight away!  However, we do need the menu choices returned on Monday 18th December so we can order ingredients for the start of term.  Some people will find credit slips attached for either the snow closure day, or if you paid in error for the Christmas lunch which is provided by FOPS.

Christmas Performances:  Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the performances of The Supersonic Lamb this week.  We are sure you will agree that the children did a fantastic job – thank you to them for all their hard work and to Mrs Evans for producing it.

Pendock Has Talent:  Due to missing time with the recent bad weather, we are struggling to fit everything in.  Therefore we have decided to postpone Pendock Has Talent until next year.

Poetry Party:  Will now be on Tuesday afternoon next week at 1.30 pm.  Family members are very welcome to come and watch the poetry performances.

Whole School Homework: Keep practising ready for the Poetry Party on Tuesday afternoon.  Please bring in any costumes and props with you on Monday for a dress rehearsal.

SATS League Tables:  One of the big news stories this week is the publication of the Key Stage 2 results and Pendock Primary can be very proud of ours!  For Progress in Reading we are 14th in Worcestershire, which is ahead of most of the local school and for Progress in Writing we are 5th in Worcestershire, which is ahead of all other local schools.  This is testament both to the sustained hard work of our pupils and our very committed teaching staff.

Twitter:  We now have a twitter account that we are updating regularly with photographs of what we are doing.  Please follow us - The twitter feed goes directly on to the front page of our new website that Mr Evans is currently busy building for us, so will be a fantastic way of families seeing what we are up to as it happens.

Instrumental Tuition:  Lessons will begin again during the week commencing 8th January.  Please remember to send instruments in on Monday (guitar) or Wednesday (violin) as appropriate.  If your child currently has instrumental tuition it has been assumed they are continuing unless you have told us otherwise and invoices will be sent out at the beginning of next term.

Breakfast Club and After School Care Invoices:  As this term is finishing on a ‘part week’, invoices for the full term will be sent home on Tuesday.
